Please find enclosed the formal notice for the BAF Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on 8th June (Saturday) at 10 AM at Hotel Ajantha near MG Road.
The Governing Council will be reconstituted during the AGM and the Cluster Councils for 19 clusters of BAF will also be formally constituted. Please find enclosed the draft nomination forms for the same.
People interested in becoming part of the Governing Council or their respective Cluster Councils, can fill up the form and submit it to the Returning Officer, as mentioned in the notice.
Lunch will be served free to all attendees post the AGM.
To help plan the event better and arrange for lunch, we request you to fill the attached form to confirm the number of people attending from your Association.

This, after Bangalore Apartment Federation (BAF) representatives Srikanth Narasimhan (General Secretary, BAF), Muralidhar Rao (Vice President, BAF) and Prof. Rajagopalan (L&T South City & BAF representative) held a meeting with Rajendra Cholan (Bescom MD), Thippeswamy (Superintending Engineer, Bescom) and 10 Bescom officials on July 11.
BESCOM started levying industrial charges for electricity for apartments with STPs, which BAF took up with KERC as being extremely unreasonable & unfair. Based on the representation made, KERC has issued a notice that apartments with STPs have to be charged domestic tariff and not industrial tariff!

BAF has created an Apartment Residents Charter, a charter of demands of apartment residents which has been circulated to political parties. Join us on 22nd April for a political debate by senior representatives from political parties on the Apartment Charter.
CII is organizing its IGBC Waves Annual Green Event on 24th February (Saturday) from 9 am to 6 pm at Rangoli Metro Art Centre, beneath the MG Road Metro Station. BAF is a partner for this event. There will be a lot of interesting and innovative products & ideas on display for apartment associations to go green and reduce costs too. We urge all association representatives to attend the exhibition and experience the products & ideas. Don't miss this event!!
The Government of Karnataka has withdrawn the retrospective STP notification after a meeting held between BAF and Ministers Mr. K.J. George & Mr. Ramalinga Reddy and Mayor Mr. Sampath Raj on 14th December 2017.
We are launching the 2nd phase of Voter Registration Campaign - a Video contest for children, to sensitise the Parents / people on the importance of being an active participant in the upcoming Assembly Elections in the state. The children will be appealing parents / people to Register & Vote.
Bangalore Apartments Federation (BAF) organised a panel discussion where experts from the field of waste water management shared their views on the BWSSB notification mandating retrospective STP & dual-piping implementation for apartments. The experts also shared perspectives which would help find practical solutions to the pressing issue of lake & water body pollution. The event saw participation of over 350 members and representatives of Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) and other concerned members of the public from across the city.
