Distributing food/ration packets to nearby labourer and needy ones
Following actions were taken in our apartment complex to safeguard about 500 residents. 1) All maids and daily workers in apartments were given paid leave 2) All vendors like milk,gas, grocery,deliveries are terminated at the gate and asked residents to collect from gate 3) Security and STP/WTP technicians are arranged to stay within our complex with food facilities. 4) Restrictions on residents imposed with 8 -11 am slot to buy necessary items from local market. 5) Advised residents to avoid guests and stop visit to any other House. 6) Vegetables,milk and groceries are arranged to supply at our gate.
Glimpses of our staff who have moved in 24/7 into our campus from the day of Janatha Curfew. They serve us well and we take care of their safety.
Resident Volunteers and our 2 housekeeping staff of Ittina Anai spent 5 days washing down the common areas of our 4 blocks and compound wall using our STP treated Water and then further Disinfecting and sanitising the same. this not only has cleaned and Disinfected our premises but also solved the issue we had on hand of excess STP treated water being generated since all of us are at home and are generating higer volumes of Sewage.

Before beginning of the lock down,I e. First week of March, we organised information sharing session with security guards, maids and HK staff. After 20th March all entries of out siders suspended. We distributed one month's grocery for HK and Security staff. Security guards without family are provided tea, snacks and food. Payment to car washing people being arranged. Iron wala paid lumpsum amount. Groceries arrangement done at our Games room through near by provision shop. Regular sanitization work being carried out.
Residents of Geetham Pride Apartment (near corporation bank)on Kudlu Main Road have been distributing food packets to the needy from 26 March 2020 . As on today (28/03/2020) around 2000 food packets have been distributed with an aim to ensure no person stays hungry in this time of crisis. This program is lead by the Association Resident Mr Venkatakrishnan and, Vice president Mr Uday Shankaran with contributions and untiring support from volunteers of Geetham Pride and support of neighbourhood. We look forward to continue this service until the situation improves. We solicit the support of communities around to fulfil this endeavour.
Engaged in running and managing of essential/emergency service operation
Residents chipping in taking the roles of Housekeeping and Maids to managing cleaning, mopping and sanitization of common areas of the apartment complex
26th strategy meet among some of the Sadhana Warriors , the volunteer team who would manage sanitization, cleaning, mopping and upkeep of the common areas including garbage management . All these would be managed by Residents themselves as all housekeep staffs and maids had been asked not to come till notice.
We have one neighborhood groceries store. A team of volunteers went last night to paint safe-distance-queue-marks at the store front, to help social distancing to be maintained by shoppers.
